Hi, I’m Jan - a retired interior designer with a passion for organisation and decluttering
I am not about creating an Insta-perfect home with an immaculately curated walk-in wardrobe. I’m here to help you make your space work for your life - whether you need help with sorting out your clothes, your kitchen drawers, your children’s toys or your day to day life.

Sometimes you just need some help to tackle those tasks you’ve put off for months or even years - it’s amazing how a second pair of hands and a clear mind can help.

My aim is to help you sort your life out. Whether that’s coming in for an afternoon a week to keep on top of your chores (posting parcels, putting the washing away, making the shopping lists, sewing on buttons and mending) or whether you need a couple of days solid help to clear out a room or even a house - I am here to help you do that.

The idea from this business came when I saw how my daughter and her husband, busy working parents, struggled to find time to do the daily chores and bits and bobs that make life easier. Things like washing and ironing and stocking the freezer all fell to be done at the weekend - unless I was around to help. It occurred to me that other people might need a “Girl Friday” as much as they did!

ORGANISATION AND DECLUTTERING

Show me the spaces that are stressing you out and let me reorganise and declutter them for you. I can either work with you (best when streamlining your wardrobe or personal items) or you can trust me to get on with it alone (where it’s more a case of sorting out than getting rid of things!). I’ll take care of it all - from charity shop donations to Vinted uploads including posting your parcels.

GENERAL LIFE ADMIN

Our lives are so busy that often the little things slip down the cracks - whether that’s the hole in the top that’s needed mending for months, the shirt you don’t wear because it needs handwashing and ironing or the cards you haven’t posted because you don’t have stamps (or cards, or envelopes!). From organising your food shop to folding your washing, give me a list of the annoying jobs you just don’t have the time or the inclination to do and I’ll tick everything off.

INTERIOR STYLING

As a retired interior designer let me help you elevate your home - if it’s a room that just needs finishing touches with cushions and pictures or guidance with layout and storage ideas, let’s talk it through and see what I can do.

PRICES
Unlike lots of professional declutters, I don’t charge a consultation fee. Give me a ring and let’s discuss what you need - then if you book a session with me I’ll be there to start work straight away

You can book me for a one off session or for weekly/monthly help.

My charges are as follows:

£30 per hour, minimum two hours.
£100 for four hours.

I charge a nominal fee for travel outside of central London (Zone 3 and further).

 I can't overstate how invaluable Jan is to our family. She comes weekly and ensures the washing is folded and put away, she organises our weekly shop, tidies the house and uses her initiative to see what else she can do to help. No task is ever too annoying!

 My mother is increasingly housebound and I rely on Jan to pop in and see her when I can't. She does the food shopping, sits and has a cup of tea with her and generally takes care of her household admin. Its a weight off my mind when I am away and can't be there to keep her company.
